Northern Business Showcase: Week 9
Hello All,
After taking a week off for Easter, I am back.
I felt like dropping an email on Easter Friday wasn't the best form so consciously chose to give everyone's inbox a break.
I was told this morning that we have a "mini heatwave" forecasted for the weekend and combine that with the clocks going forward - we are almost there.
Almost through the 6 months of greyness and rain - for one I could not be happier with this.
Flashing back to 2 weeks ago, I showcased a fantastic business called HACE: Data Changing Child Labour founded by Eleanor Harry, who are on the mission o sustainably eradicate child labour in global supply chains by leveraging the power of data and AI.
This is part of the 17 global goals agenda, which you can find here: Global Goals: Target 8.7 of this goal aims to eliminate the worst forms of child labour, including the recruitment and use of child soldiers, as well as to end all forms of child labour by 2025.
These goals have changed how entrepreneurs address problems and that can be seen in the business we are showcasing this week.

Joe is a great founder and I have seen him deliver the pitch and it's very compelling. When I look at investing the major focus for me - over market and opportunity is the founder.
They are responsible for the business and being able to adjust and execute a plan in what can feel like constant chaos of start-up life.
The best founders can do this.
I wish Joe and the team best of luck with their raise and growth for the future.
Thanks,
Dominic
