A Nostalgic New Year's Celebration!

A Nostalgic New Year's Celebration!

Growing up with my family had a different way of celebrating New Year's Eve. Instead of big parties, we would gather in our living room surrounded by the delicious Mom's homemade food and the excitement of watching award shows on TV. We'd all sit around the dining table enjoying the dinner by Mom's dishes and then looking forward to the main event, the award show. From creamy Paneer Butter Masala to spicy-tangy Shahi Paneer, Every time Mom cooked, it proved she was really good at making delicious food. Our New Year's celebration was all about homemade paneer dishes, a debate over award show winners and moments of both laughter and emotion.

Sitting on the living room sofa with my dad, we dived into the world of entertainment and eagerly waiting to hear the winners in different categories. There was a buzz of excitement as we discussed our predictions, sometimes disagreeing on who deserved the awards.

The award show became a platform for family debates. We talked about who we thought was the best singer, the most talented dancer, the outstanding actor, and the funniest comedian. Each nomination and acceptance speech led to lively discussions about the entertainment world. Seeing my favorite actors and musicians accept awards was like being a part of their special moment.

One of the best parts was discussing films and performances, breaking down the storytelling and how characters made us feel. We didn't just talk about who should win but also why their contributions to cinema were important. Our discussions didn't stop at the winners, we also talked about debut actors and whether they really deserved the recognition. It was a night filled with laughter & friendly arguments.

Looking back, those New Year's Eves were all about the simple joys of being together, enjoying good food and sharing our love for entertainment. Even though our celebrations have changed as we've grown up, the memories of those award show nights still hold a special place in my heart, reminding me of the magic found in family and celebrating the achievements of the artists we admire.
