Quarterly Operations Workshop

Q4 Meeting in Hammersmith

We recently had our quarterly Operations Workshop in Hammersmith, attended by our Development Managers, Estate Directors and other team members from across the company. Not only are these workshops a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues from other sites, creating a sense of workplace community, they are integral in providing important industry updates and internal changes.

This quarter, Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) was one of the important topics discussed. Both our Head Office and On-Site teams talked about everything we are already doing in the name of ESG, whilst reviewing our next steps and plans for the future (stay tuned!) We were also excited to discuss the formation of our committee, aimed at strengthening our commitment to creating a positive ESG impact in all that we do.

At POD, we strive to ensure we create a meaningful impact and that we are mindful of our environmental responsibility, supporting social initiatives and continuing to promote good corporate governance.

Alongside this, safety was another key topic, and something POD management keep at the forefront of all that we do. In the second half of the meeting, we got into the specifics of fire door safety, whilst consolidating what we learnt from Safety Week, mentioned in last month’s newsletter. This was all topped off with a competitive and informative quiz, which the teams really enjoyed.

A big thank you to all who organised and attended. We look forward to our next event!

Staff Spotlight

Property Manager 2024 Winner

We wanted to congratulate our wonderful Associate Director, Jan Miravite-Tiley on being named as one of the top 50 property managers in the UK! The 2024 Property Management 50 honours exceptional achievements across the property sector to individuals that are continuously raising standards. The awards are all about recognising and celebrating excellence in residential property management. We are so proud of Jan and all that she has achieved through her hard work and dedication to her role – what an outstanding milestone that is testament to your exceptional contribution and impact. No one deserves this more and we can’t wait to celebrate your success with you.

The Green Quarter Visit

Our teams love visiting POD management sites across the country. Recently, Ryan Collier, our Co-Founder and Lucy Foster, our Business Support Manager visited The Green Quarter. Lucy got to catch up with the team and see the growth of the wonderful tree nursery there, whilst Ryan also got to spend time with the resident falcon, Heidi, who is used for ethical pest control around the area.

It was a great day that provided clear insight into one of our core POD values: support, whilst also highlighting some of our many biodiversity initiatives.

Triton Building Update

Over at our Triton building, the team have had their fair share of challenges this month and have been dealing with some extremely difficult leak issues. Thanks to their dedication and hard work, five major leaks have been successfully tackled in a week, bringing us closer to full recovery!

Our wonderful Triton team, led by our Development Manager Marius Dinu, has worked so hard to ensure the building is restored to a safe and comfortable home for all residents. A huge well done to the team for their quick response and continued hard work. We look forward to seeing this wonderful property return in all its glory!

Our Charity Partnership

POD are a Top 5% Fundraiser

We’re so proud to share that we’re now a top 5% fundraiser with JustGiving! So far in 2024, the POD team has raised £7,469 for our chosen charity partner, the Single Homeless Project! Our chosen charity works to prevent homelessness and transform lives of those affected in London. We’re so proud to be supporting them! This year, through volunteer work, a sponsored river walk, bake sales, skydives and a sponsored half marathon, our amazing team have worked hard to raise invaluable funds for this important cause. We are so proud of what the POD team has achieved for this wonderful charity and look forward to providing further support over the coming weeks.
