Novomatic's classic - copied by the wannabe's!

It's been a few decades since Novomatic created one of the all time classic Video Slots  -  Book of Ra.  It’s also no secret in our industry that many wannabe casino-game-development firms have envied this globally successful brand and would stop at nothing to offer their inferior copies/versions to any taker willing to integrate a vastly inferior variation of the classic.   You would be excused for thinking that this type of piracy is done in a covert operation or in a car parking lot during ICE -  Wrong!  These offerings by copycat firms are made at international trade shows under the very noses of Novomatic’s executive members. Pushing copies of Book of  Ra stems mostly because these second rate firms simply lack creativity and hire unimaginative "product owners" to start with

fact remains - these pseudo “development companies” actually harbor more envy than creativity.

Whereas Novomatic’s payouts and exciting feature game(s) has assured a dedicated following of this epic adventure slot – it's  fair to say the copies simply don't have the same panache or more importantly -  credibility.  fact - Novamatic does not alter or tamper with its payouts.   Whereas the copycats, happily alter the returns to suit their greedy requirements or third world clientele. The emphasis by Novamatic on player returns, through meticulous mathematical algorithms, not withstanding extremely generous bonus payouts, surely ranks this game as one of the all time greats.  Naturally the same cannot be said abut the copies and the knock-offs provided by the Tom Dick and Harry’s of our industry.

A nice piece Keith, copying a legendary game suggests how extraordinary it still is today!
