NOX KD Center Office Tour: 2nd floor

NOX has been the global leader in LVT flooring and understands the importance of flooring in our lives, whether in design or function.

Then, what kind of flooring does a global flooring company, NOX, install on its building?

To answer that, let me give you a brief tour of NOX KD Center!

KD Center, located in Seoul, South Korea is a true NOX design hub where many teams are currently working, including the Design team, Sales team, Marketing team, etc.

Not to mention, this is where our tremendous design team is working to launch the new collections of our unique flooring designs.

As much as it stands as a symbol of NOX's unique designs, each floor of the center is installed with handpicked flooring with a different theme, of course, considering the features of each team!

In this series, let me take you on a tour of the 2nd floor, where our beloved domestic and marketing teams work.

In other words, the flooring type used on the 2nd floor is the NOX signature stone design that we have been developing throughout our history.

Now, let’s find out one by one and take a closer look!😜

l Office Area_Loose Lay Tile

This area takes up the largest portion of the second floor. Not only is it spacious, but gray-colored flooring with stone texture also adds a sense of balance and stability, overall boosting the productivity of the space.

The flooring in office areas is loose-lay tile, NOX, developed for the first time in the world in 2005. It is particularly suitable for commercial spaces, as it has excellent dimensional stability with a unique multi-structure and is healthy for installation in an adhesive-free method.

What I personally like about this tile is that it has the realistic look and feel of stone with embossed-in-register technology applied. Sometimes it makes me want to touch it!

| Meeting room #1

Product Information: ECOLAY+ Micro Terrazzo Gray (ELT-48906)

Besides the office area, we have two meeting rooms where each team can share thoughts and ideas.

The first meeting room’s flooring is Ecolay+. The distinctive dark brown color of the flooring keeps the atmosphere of the meeting room stable, which can enhance concentration during meetings. It also adds a modern and sophisticated appearance and makes whoever is having the meeting feel professional and more productive.

The pattern of the flooring is made of two types of terrazzo. A refined natural terrazzo pattern combined with a more detailed micro-terrazzo. Together, they create a unique pattern that creates textures that add depth and visual interest to the room.

This unique flooring design improves the concentration of those in the room with a serene and relaxed ambiance, which fits in with the purpose of the room.

| Meeting room #2

Production Information: ECOLAY+ Terrazzo Beige (ELT-44711)

Both the first and second meeting rooms share their purpose; however, the second meeting room has a brighter and more lively mood.

The flooring in the room is also Ecolay+, with a beige base and a white terrazzo pattern. The combination of color and pattern makes the space cleaner and wider, while also creating a cheerful and positive atmosphere.

In the afternoon, when the sunshine stays on the flooring across the room, it accentuates the warm atmosphere. If the first meeting room was more sophisticated and productive, the second meeting room has a softer atmosphere without losing the professional mood. So the second meeting room is for when teams have casual meetings.

ECOLAY+

Now, the flooring in both meeting rooms is ECOLAY+, a non-adhesive loose-lay LVT flooring.

ECOLAY+ is another popular NOX flooring for commercial spaces.

The top coat of ECOLAY+ used NOX's advanced EPT™ Shield coating technology, which is excellent at preventing scratches, dents, discoloration, and contamination. The office is a high-traffic area not only for the footstep but also for many equipment that can wear off the top coating layer of the flooring, for example, pulling the chair, or for NOX, we use handcarts to move around the flooring samples.

In addition, ECOLAY+ applied the industry's highest level of noise reduction, NOX SOUNDPROTEC technology, which absorbs more than 19 dB of noise. Applying the technology can reduce the noise generated in the office, from footsteps to general conversation, which makes it more suitable for the space where productivity is needed.

| Elevator_Natural Grout

The last area for the tour is outside the office, where the elevator is. 

The flooring here is specially customized. On each floor, this area is where anyone will get their first impression of the floor. So, we customized the flooring to fit their theme.

Following the theme of the 2nd floor, ‘the first stone,’ it’s stalled with stone flooring that brings out most of the natural elegance of the material and will make the best first impression.

The bright color and distinct tile pattern of the flooring make the space more opulent with a touch of elegance while maintaining a sense of organization.

The remarkable feature of this flooring is the natural grout line!

Natural grout line is an innovative technology NOX developed that slightly trims the edges of the tile and gives it a more ceramic tile look. The "Built-in-Grout" design prevents cracks or chips, ensuring the easiest installation and hassle-free maintenance.

Here, we finished the tour and looked around all of the areas on the 2nd floor: the office area, meeting room #1, # 2, and around the elevator.
