It's essential to highlight the critical role of vocational teacher training in advancing skill development and preparing the workforce for the future. Vocational Teacher Education: An Imperative for Skill Development

"LAQSH Jobs Skills Academy provides training and certification opportunities to individuals seeking to enhance their skills in various sectors.," Ms. Revathi Kasturi, Founder and CEO of LAQSH Job Skills Academy.

We offer vocational trainer education in two key areas: domain-specific skills and pedagogical skills, often referred to as platform skills in the skills framework. While professionals in the industry possess technical expertise in their respective domains, they may need to learn about effective teaching and learning processes. Our program aims to bridge this gap by providing a grounding in educational practices. Few people perceived the program as only relevant to arts and similar segments. We understood the importance of the teaching-learning process and its valuable insights, leading us to incorporate education into our vocational trainers' on-the-job learning actively. As a result, our vocational trainer education now includes platform and domain-specific skills.

To learn more about the importance of vocational teacher education for skill development, re-skilling and up-skilling of vocational teachers, LAQSH's teacher training program, online certification program on the Skills to Sparkle platform and more, we spoke with Ms. Revathi Kasturi, Founder and CEO, LAQSH Job Skills Academy. Gone are the days when a teacher/ trainer would come to the class, read out a lesson from the textbook, give homework and leave for the day. With the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 under implementation, 21st century skills, and a teacher’s capability to impart those to the learners has garnered even more importance.
