Ocean-Reseachers are welcome aboard!

Ocean-Reseachers are welcome aboard!

We are looking forward to the launch of our campaign "sailing4livingSeas" to make our small contribution to the preservation of our unique and wonderful oceans. Even if we cannot move much on our own of course, we want to try to draw the attention to as many people as possible to the endangered state of our oceans.

During our circumnavigation we want to collect data on the condition of our seas over the next 10 years. We are particularly interested in the massive increase in plastic waste and the acidification of the oceans, also in the changes which we have to expect in the future.

For the scientific support we are still looking for researchers and volunteers who want to accompany our project from land and sea.

On our journey to the most beautiful and remote places around the world we would like to show that human intervention in nature has already advanced to the most distant paradise of our planet.

To end this, we plan to take water samples and examine them for microplastics and acidity-level and document the plastic waste that can now be found all over the world, even in uninhabited regions.

I truly believe that the unawareness amongst the public is the main problem and that we should do everything we can to make everyone aware of it.

We will document this unique journey with photos and videos, also having a camera-drone on board for aerial footage. We want to upload these pictures on our website: www.sailing4livingSeas.org and integrate them into a worldwide map so that everyone can access pictures and reports about the condition when clicking on them.

If you would like to support our campaign or even if you have your own projekt that you would like to realise aboard a sailing vessel (with a low carbon-footprint) I invite you to step aboard and sail with us for a while!

You can contact us via my linkin-profil or my company-email or our blog: bluepearlpirates.wordpress.com.

Soon also via the Website: www.sailing4livingseas.org.
