October - Learning Machines: Insights on AI from FT Strategies

Hello and welcome to Learning Machines, our monthly review of AI news that is relevant, actionable and interesting for the media and publishing industry.

When ChatGPT came out, many of us were amazed by its conversational abilities. We recently had a similar experience with Google's new AI experiment NotebookLM, a chatbot where you can upload documents and generate conversational podcast-style audio where two presenters discuss the contents of your documents. Here is a recording of the podcast we quickly created by uploading a few of our Insights articles from the FT Strategies website.

This week we explored the theme of AI chatbots more broadly in an FT Strategies webinar, in which we discussed the rise of chatbots and why we are seeing multiple publishers deploy them in a variety of ways.
