Offshore Newsletter - 14th June 2023

Hello everyone and welcome back to your regular roundup of all things offshore. This week, Odfjell Technology has achieved an industry-first for cleaning BOPs by reaching a 50% time reduction during a successful trial wherein the pump rate was increased to allow more water flow into the BOP cavities to aid with removal. Moving into the North Sea, DNO ASA has officially completed its multi-year decommissioning campaign as it has reported the wellhead platform production facilities have been removed from the Schooner Field. Elsewhere, Expro has been awarded a five-year well intervention and integrity contract with TotalEnergies EP Uganda for work on the multi-well Tilenga project, and Helix Alliance has also been awarded a 39- well decommissioning contract for the Gulf of Mexico shelf. Last, but by no means least, Petrofac has expanded its decommissioning scope in the Gulf of Mexico by adding a field to its portfolio.
