Once Again Oren Smadga Sets the Right Tone
While we are at war we all need to exercise some restraint. There should be no big statements apart from the official statements - there should be no talk about anything except our unity.
We all need to be on our best behavior and a little more reserved than usual.
Only those who identify with this and fully support the ongoing efforts of our security forces - and all the people supporting them will be taken into account.
Here is the translation of Oren Smadga🎗️ 's Hebrew post that immediately went viral earlier today -
I heard yesterday what the mental health officer of the Alexandroni Brigade said about the division and the new brigade commander.
I don't want to refer to Adi, the medical personnel in the army who do holy work, and I don't know what got into her that she expressed herself in such a way.

These are difficult days for all of us, I hope that even from the difficult things that have been said we can grow and find the way to connect with one another like the brigade has embraced our family since we lost Omer.
I do want to address this amazing division. Our Omer served in Golani and we did not know the glorious, veteran and brave Alexandroni Brigade until after he was killed.
And since his fall, we have met fighters from the level of the soldier fighting in the field to the outgoing brigade commander. These are the most beautiful Israeli men and women there are. Brave, loving, strong in mind and body.
We met and fell in love with soldiers from all over Israeli society, religious and traditional and completely secular from all over the country, cities, settlements, and kibbutzim.
We are proud that Omer fought in this glorious division, and it is unbearable for me to hear anything that would tarnish its legacy.

Omer and Saadia, who came from different places, found brave friendship in the brigade and fell together. Their blood mixed without checking who goes to synagogue on Shabbat and who goes to party. This is the People of Israel and this is the Alexandroni Brigade.
I would also like to take this opportunity to say that since Omer fell we have met many fighters, but also the important system that supports them, including the care workers. And they too deserve compassion and a hug.
