One of the common mistakes I see service-based business owners make….
Before I go there, let me say there’s something to be said about the CEO’s that have led their businesses to high 6 and 7-figures…Congratulations!!
And, be careful.
Understand that what got you here, or more importantly the team that got you here, is more than likely not the exact same team that will get you to the next milestone you are striving for.
Evaluating and evolving your team along the journey is a critical aspect of scaling your business to million dollar growth.
Imagine this: You're at point A. You've built a solid foundation of service offers, you have some systems in place, a team you are pretty proud of, and now you're eyeing point B – your next level of expansion and success.
You are ready to take the business higher crossing that million dollar threshold, or taking your $1.5M annual gross revenues to over $3M or $2M to $5M.
So, what's the missing link??
...Your team.
One of the top mistakes I see entrepreneurs make is failing to invest in the right talent and neglecting the opportunity to continually reassess the talent in conjunction with the demands of where they are headed.
This can be costly - very costly in time, money and stress levels.
Growing and scaling requires a skilled and dedicated team. Business owners who overlook the importance of hiring and retaining top talent (the right top talent) may struggle to meet growing demands and maintain service quality.
Here's the scoop: Your team that got you to where you are now might not be the same team that'll propel you to your next milestone.
As you grow, your organizational needs evolve. Yet, it's all too common to stick with the status quo, clinging to familiar faces even when you know they're not the right fit for the journey ahead, because you think it’s easier to stay as is and “make” it work (or worse, they've become a friend and you "don't want to do that to them").
But here's the truth bomb: Neglecting to evaluate your team's needs – which may involve removing misfits and adding new talent – can hold you back from reaching your full potential as you’ll struggle to meet growing demands and maintain service quality.
Think about it: this means outdated skill sets, cultural mismatches, and stagnant energy are slowing down your progress daily.

And some of you may jump to hiring the next position based on belief, not actual evaluation in gaps or need.
The challenge here is you may easily end up hiring for where you are - NOT for where you are heading and this can be a very costly mistake as I shared above.

It's time to take stock.
Assess where you are, where you want to be, and who you need by your side to get there. It's like upgrading your toolkit for the challenges, and opportunities, of tomorrow, ensuring you have the right people with the right skills at every step of the journey.
