The One Thing You Need To Drive Business Growth
With the holiday season approaching, many entrepreneurs and small business owners are gearing up to maximize their efforts in the coming months.
As a multi-potentialite, I truly understand how challenging it can be to focus on just one service or product when you’re capable of doing so much.
However, if you try to do it all, your efforts become diluted, and you risk heading into the holiday season—and the new year—without the results you deserve.
This is where "The One Thing" comes into play. Focusing on one key offering allows you to streamline your message, avoid confusion, and increase your chances of success.
Why Focus Matters
When you spread yourself too thin by promoting multiple products or services, your message becomes muddled, and customers may not understand the true value of what you offer. By narrowing your focus to one key item, you can deliver a clearer, more impactful message that resonates with your audience. This not only saves time and effort but also positions you to achieve better sales and customer engagement during the busy holiday season.
How to Choose Your "One Thing"
First, think about what you want to be known for. When someone mentions your name, what thought do you want that to spark? Is it "financial advisor," "event planner," "social media manager," or "content creator"? Start with that vision in mind.
Then, consider three key factors:
Relevance: Which product or service aligns with your customers' needs right now, especially during the holiday season?
Profitability: Which offering will provide the greatest return on investment? Focus on the one that brings in the most revenue or has the highest demand.
Market Fit: Which product or service solves a specific problem for your ideal customer? When you address their needs directly, you're more likely to capture attention and boost sales.
By narrowing your focus, you’re setting yourself up to stand out in a crowded market and connect more deeply with your audience.
Tailoring Your Message
Now that you've chosen your "one thing," the next step is to get crystal clear on your audience. Understanding exactly who you’re speaking to allows you to craft a message that resonates with their specific needs, desires, and challenges.

Ask yourself:
Who is my ideal customer?
What are their pain points, and how does my offering solve them?
What benefits will they experience from my product or service?
When you speak directly to your audience’s needs, you're not just selling a product or service—you’re offering a solution. By positioning your "one thing" as the answer to their problems, you create a connection that drives engagement and ultimately, sales.
Crafting a message that speaks to your audience’s desires and values is key to standing out in a crowded marketplace, especially during the busy holiday season. The more specific and clear your messaging, the more effective your marketing efforts will be.
