#ONO Gets Job for HR After #1 on LinkedIn
Here's how a Human Resources Leader went from invisible (1 of 10 MILLION) to #1!
HOW? By correctly using #ONO on LinkedIn.
Within 3 days she had received 275+ connections, 268+ messages and a job offer.
How Is This Possible?
Sabrina (Norris) Permuth, SHRM-SCP and I connected after I was taggged to solve an issue with her missing the SHARE button on posts. As we were fixing it, I noticed her post was about looking for a job...
"One of the things that I have been reminded of this week is that I should not be afraid to ask for help. (I am currently looking for my next big adventure because last Friday was my last day..."
Well, I've been helping people with #ONO since Deb Helfrich, Lynda Spiegel and I started the #ONO initiative October, 2017. This was a golden opportunity to use #ONO, as she literally was looking for a way to ask for help. Most career experts agree, when looking for work you need to tell others about it.
Needle in a Haystack
I noticed the first thing in her headline was Human Resources. Nice common term. Many recruiters would search this all the time. But, there are over 10 MILLION results...
WOW! Good luck getting found, right? Right!
After doing the easiest thing of simply adding #ONO to her headline, she got to page 5 of 1,961 search results!...
Not Good Enough
Not bad, but not good enough! She got lucky.
- Most people will still not be found as research shows people will only search 4 pages back. You don't walk down the street searching for something on the other side of town, do you?
- You need to fully leverage #ONO. (See and do STEPS 1 - 4.)
So she did more per the article and got to page 2!...
Now We're Talkin'!
But here's the best part... As it wasn't quite like the article shows, she was able to do more. After doing STEPS 1 - 4, she got to #1 - not just page 1!...
So in the first few days she got...
- 275+ new connections
- 268+ new messages
- a job offer
