Article: Brenmiller Energy Achieves Significant Project Milestone: On-Track to Save Tempo Beverages $7.5 Million in Energy Costs Using Thermal Energy Storage. (altenergymag.com, 23rd December 2024)

Article Summary: In its innovative thermal energy storage (TES) project for Tempo Beverages Ltd., Brenmiller Energy Ltd., a worldwide supplier of thermal energy storage solutions, has reached a crucial contractual milestone. It is planned that Tempo's fossil fuel boilers will be replaced by a 32 MWh bGenTM ZERO TES system. This system can convert energy into heat, which can then be used to power environmentally friendly industrial operations at a price that is competitive. By collecting low-cost power from renewable sources or the grid and storing it in crushed rocks, the bGenTM ZERO can generate electricity on demand. After that, it releases steam, hot water, or hot air on demand, according on the needs of the consumer. Through its ability to provide vital flexibility and grid-balancing capabilities, the bGenTM ZERO also contributes to the development of utility-scale renewable energy sources. Brenmiller's gigafactory will be responsible for the completion of the fabrication of the Company's bGenTM components, and it is anticipated that these components will be transported on-site for assembly beginning in the middle of January 2025. Brenmiller Energy is dedicated to meeting its lofty goal of commissioning in 2025, which is included in its ambitious roadmap.

Article: Strong 2025 ahead for the European food and beverage market. (savills, 23rd December 2024)

Article Summary: Several issues have been encountered by the food and beverage (F&B) industry in Europe. These challenges include a decrease in consumer spending, high financing costs, and growing inflation in both food service and energy. As a result of these considerations, there has been a trend toward spending money on experiences and purchasing that is motivated by value. As customers place a greater emphasis on high-quality alternatives, the market for quick-service restaurants (QSR), which provide convenience and eating at a rapid pace, is expanding. Recent technological improvements have made it possible to place orders and make payments using cell phones in a more expedient and simple manner, hence enabling additional eating covers. There has been a rise in the number of site purchases and a consistent climb in rental rates because of the spread of franchising, notably among US newcomers. The expansion of quick-service restaurants (QSRs) in Eastern Europe is one factor that is contributing to the overall development of the food and beverage industry. Individuals from the surrounding area as well as visitors who are looking for excellent meals are drawn to high-quality dining ideas such as interactive chefs’ tables. Despite the continued difficulties, the hotel sector continues to maintain a positive outlook. The inflation rate for food service has reduced, and the number of dollars spent on energy has greatly decreased. F&B companies have been concentrating their efforts on simplifying their operations, improving the efficiency of their supply chains, and reorganizing their finances to position themselves for future growth and resilience. There is still an optimistic prognosis for the year 2025, with the rise of quick-service restaurants (QSRs) as well as luxury dining facilities.
