Oops. I Almost Forgot: You Are Perfect as You Are
Sometimes we forget. It happens quietly, almost imperceptibly. Stress over money, security, relationships, and an increasingly tumultuous world creeps in. The weight piles up, and before we know it, we’re carrying a mountain of worries. Will I have enough? Am I good enough? Will things ever settle down?
We worry about our careers, our families, our futures, and everything in between. We compare, we measure, we doubt. Somewhere along the way, we start believing we’re not enough. Not capable. Not ready. Not worthy.
But wait a minute. Stop.
Here’s something we seem to forget all too often: You are perfect as you are.
Not perfect in the unrealistic, airbrushed, unattainable way the world often presents. No. Perfect as in human. Capable. Beautiful. Creative. Resilient. Flawed and still absolutely enough.
You Can Dream
You’re perfect because you have the capacity to dream. And dreams matter. They move us forward, whether they’re big or small. They pull us toward hope, toward possibility. Your dreams—to travel, to start a business, to write that book, to learn something new—are worthy, because you are worthy.
You Can Imagine
Your imagination is a gift. In a noisy, demanding world, your ability to pause, to imagine something different, something better, is nothing short of remarkable. You can see solutions where others see problems. You can envision possibilities where others see roadblocks. Whether it’s a small idea or a massive vision, your imagination is proof of your perfection.
You Can Help
Perfection isn’t about being flawless; it’s about what you can give. And you have so much to give. You can help another person in ways you don’t even realize—a kind word, a smile, a shared story. Your wisdom, your presence, your willingness to show up matters. Helping others doesn’t require wealth or status; it just requires you.
You Can Raise, Write, Draw, Sing, and Build
Think about this: You can raise kids, inspire a friend, or guide a colleague. You can put pen to paper and write words that touch hearts. You can pick up a paintbrush or sing a song. You can build ideas—ideas that bring change, innovation, joy. You’re perfect because you’re a creator. You create love, solutions, art, moments—and it all comes from you.

You Are Enough
The world will tell you otherwise. It will tell you to fix this, change that, improve here, hustle there. It will insist that you aren’t quite enough—not yet. Don’t listen.
Because right now—with your talents, your flaws, your dreams, and your fears—you are already enough. You are perfect as you are. You don’t have to prove it, and you don’t have to earn it. It’s already true.
A Gentle Reminder
The next time you feel overwhelmed, when stress begins to whisper doubts in your ear, take a deep breath. Step back. And remind yourself: Oops. I almost forgot. You are perfect as you are.
Let that thought sink in. Let it remind you to dream, to imagine, to help, to create, to just be. Because being yourself—your perfectly imperfect, capable, resilient self—is enough. And the world needs you. Just as you are.
A Message from What I Do
Because I do what I do—teaching people how to become Fractional professionals—I see this all the time. I see people who think they are not perfect. The world may have beat them up with a layoff, passed them over for a promotion, or worn them down in the corporate grind. All these experiences tend to force us to see flaws, to doubt ourselves.
But here’s the truth: those flaws you think you see? They’re not really there. They’re stories someone else told you, moments of doubt you absorbed, but they are not you.
You are capable. You are resilient. And you are perfect as you are. Don’t let the world convince you otherwise.
Chin up,
John
