Opportunities Are Perishable

Opportunities Are Perishable

“The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.” ~Jeremiah 8:20

If you don’t deliver a package labeled “perishable” today, there will be no need to do so tomorrow. It will be worthless, its contents probably spoiled or melted.

There is one real sense in which death is a blessing; it is a constant reminder that we do not have forever to achieve our goals in this world. Each tick of the watch and each turn of the calendar tells us that yesterday is gone, tomorrow is only a dream, and all we have is today.

Grab for dear life those opportunities that come your way. Hold on to them.

Exploit them. Put your talents to work on them. Don’t let them rot in your hands, for they are perishable - and so are we!
