Opportunity in Disguise

Good news! I just returned from the New York City stop on my book tour for The Power of Days. [A sentence that just sparked a smile of delight. Pinch me. That just happened... thanks to a lot of phenomenal champions.] Over 60 people attended the book signing and reading. Wow. So grateful.

Bad news: My daughter called with an urgent need, and the option to shift my flight to her local airport instead of my ticketed flight home was incredibly expensive to do at the last minute. Too much.

Bad news: When I arrived at JFK International, my flight home was delayed and overbooked.

News: They were asking for five volunteers to take a voucher and be rebooked.

Idea: Would they allow me to volunteer to shift my flight to her instead?

Good news: Done!

In entrepreneurship and creation, surfing with the ups and downs with gratitude and curiosity gives us a chance to see opportunities we might otherwise miss.

In my new book The Power of Days, Chapter 14, "Sticks, Stones, and Gravity" has one of the most powerful lessons of how letting go can change your life. Challenges bring opportunity. When do you feel like you need to surrender in your life to make something big happen? Trust

The Power of Days is sparking a whole lot of conversations. Have you read it yet? Join the conversation. Pass the word. Tell your book clubs and libraries. Your turn to see why it is a #1 Bestseller with over 124 Five star reviews. Find your copy anywhere books are sold or at ThePowerofDays.com.

I read it and shared it! The book helped encourage new members to local Days for Girls to help make more needed sustainable menstrual Pads and Kits. Here's an opportunity.....Are you available to go on tour to do book signings at Universities in PA? I'll take you around to any PA universities you would like to visit!  https://www.psu.edu/news/office-physical-plant/story/free-menstrual-product-dispensers-now-available-university-park-campus/ Mobilizing college youth can be a powerful force for driving positive change, as exemplified by initiatives addressing period poverty at Penn State. With their energy, passion, and willingness to challenge the status quo, college students are uniquely positioned to raise awareness, advocate for policy changes, and implement practical solutions to tackle pressing social issues like period poverty.

Being able to stay open to any possibilities is so powerful - otherwise they may sail by because we were staring at the the problem! Great synchronicities!!

Holding on too tight too long often does far more damage that simply letting go! Love it!

Wow!!! I love the serendipity!!! I agree, being an entrepreneur allows a wee bit of wiggle room for when those important life moments arise. I'm navigating one right now and never so grateful as being able to be fully there for my loved one when needed.
