Our 2024 highlights
It’s been another busy 12 months for all of us here at Novus, as we continued to strive for success guided by our core values. From exciting contract wins to meaningful social value initiatives, here are some of our highlights from 2024.
Winning and resecuring contracts
We’re proud to have successfully bid for a number of new contracts and frameworks throughout the year, spanning a variety of sectors and regions across Great Britain. This includes a significant contract with Anchor in the North West and Southwest Corridor for planned and reactive maintenance works.
As well as successful bids for a series of new contracts, we’re proud to have resecured contracts with existing clients, including Whitbread, Manchester South MFT, Trent and Dove and The Guinness Partnership. This demonstrates our commitment to forming long term partnerships across the sectors we work in, and is made possible through our collaborative approach to working combined with the exceptional knowledge and skills of our dedicated teams.
Strengthening our team
People are at the heart of everything we do and this means we’re dedicated to creating a working environment where everyone can thrive, regardless of their background. We’re proud of the culture we’ve created, and believe this is a key reason we not only retain staff, but attract the best talent for new roles across the business, including welcoming a number of new colleagues to our business. This includes new members of our management teams and the sixth generation Seddon family member, Olivia, joining Novus this year.
2024 has also seen several changes to our Board of Directors, including our longstanding colleague Lee Hartley who began his position as CEO at the beginning of the year. We also made two new board-level appointments earlier this year, with Andy Finn joining as our Finance Director and Steve Gayter as Executive Director.
Streamlining our services
We’re committed to delivering the best possible service to our clients, which is one of the key reasons we recently streamlined our service offering. We now offer three specialist services led by our teams of experts:

Partnering with charities
This year, we continued our partnership with Lighthouse, the only charity that is fully dedicated to the physical, emotional and financial wellbeing of those working in construction and their families. Lighthouse provides a number of essential services to construction workers including a 24/7 helpline and wellbeing-focused training courses.
We’re also delighted to have joined forces with CRADLE CIC as our latest social value partner earlier this year. The national mental health charity provides support to anyone affected by the death of a baby during pregnancy, or termination of pregnancy through working with the NHS to deliver services and pathways of support for patients, as well as services for healthcare professionals including trainee doctors and nurses.
Our enviable reputation across the healthcare and education sectors puts us in a strong position to support CRADLE CIC in driving positive change in NHS England’s Maternity and Gynaecology Pathways. We’ve already taken part in our first joint initiative with CRADLE CIC, and look forward to continuing our support over the coming months.
Giving back to our communities
We remain committed to giving back to the communities we work in across Great Britain, and we’re proud to have supported a series of charity and community projects throughout 2024, leading to an incredible over £2.5 million estimated social value impact. Over the past 12 months, we’ve been involved in more than 150 social value initiatives and volunteered over 1,000 hours – leading to a positive impact for more than 5,000 individuals. Our colleagues across the business have also taken part in 20 charity challenges helping to raise over £26,000.
Our 2024 highlights wouldn’t have been possible without the ongoing support of our clients, supply chain partners, colleagues and residents. Here’s to a happy, healthy and successful 2025!
