Our Core Beliefs

Our Core Beliefs

Our core beliefs are the beliefs we cherish most deeply. They are developed in childhood and are compounded by our life experiences. Core beliefs are inflexible, rigid and incredibly sensitive to being challenged. Our brain screams ‘battle stations’ when core beliefs are being challenged. Our brain loves consistency so it builds a worldview much like we would build a house. It has a foundation, a frame, windows and doors and it knows exactly how everything fits together.

If a new piece or idea is introduced that does not fit the whole house begins to fall apart. Our brain tries to protect us by rejecting new ideas. Then it builds a fence and a moat and refuses to let in any new visitors. This is the way our biology tries to protect our core beliefs. It is important to remember our core beliefs are not a perfect house that was built to last forever. It is a cheap condo and over time most of it will turn to dust. The way to offset the damaging effects of our core beliefs is through the development of our emotional intelligence.

For the past 24 years the Master of Business Leadership Program has been supporting executives and organizations seeking to improve their leadership and emotional intelligence in order to create resilient organizational cultures that drive innovation and foster sustainable long-term growth. MBL alumni are in United States, Canada, England, Italy, Japan, Germany, Bosnia, South Africa, Australia, Middle East, Saudi Arabia, India, Nepal and Poland.

I am a TRANSFORMATIONAL executive coach; I am not a motivational coach. It is up to you to bring your own motivation for change. My job is to help you turn that motivation into inspirational leadership, emotional intelligence and higher consciousness. The result is freedom from your ego-based fears and greater trust and engagement. This leads to career, personal and business success.
