OUR STORY:
Little Ray Children’s Books, Inc., a 501c3 organization, licenses V. R. Duin rhyming, behavior-changing, books and motivational materials for children ages 3-8, learners of English as a second language and special learners of any age. Individual donations, book sales and grants enable us to send these books and materials to other nonprofits with educational missions.
On average, V. R. Duin books took 15 years to write, edit and polish. Rhyming stories are more difficult to write than prose.
From the 15 subsequent years that V. R. Duin books were independently marketed and reviewed, we learned why it is important to read stories in rhyme:
1. Rhyming helps reading, memory and learning,
2. Autistic children detect patterns in math, music and rhyming text. This power enables savants to manipulate numbers at machine-like speed.
3. Learners of English as a second language find our rhyming text assists with pronunciation.
4. Rhyme engages all readers with our adventurous, fun books.
Little Ray Children’s Books rallies readers to strive for literacy and achievement of their goals. The behavior-changing materials accompanying our books are designed to promote achievement, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability and thankfulness.
Thank you for your kind visits and comments. We are delighted that you invested time in our story.
