Our year wrapped – why we’re perfectly placed to go beyond for your business in 2025

As 2024 draws to a close, we’re reflecting on what’s been another incredible year here at Travel Counsellors for Business. From a trio of tech launches and smashing sales records, to welcoming new hires and winning prestigious awards, it’s been a jam-packed year. 

Here’s a wrap-up of the key things we’ve achieved over the last 12 months – all of which cement our reputation as a care-led TMC that’s perfectly placed to support the business travel needs of SMEs as we prepare to go beyond for clients in 2025.  

We enhanced our high-touch service with three innovative technology products 

We kicked off our three product launches of 2024 with myTC Online – an easy-to-use self-booking platform that allows corporate clients to manage simple bookings themselves. This frees up their Travel Counsellor’s time to focus on more complex requests. 

Next up was myTC Insights, an intuitive data management tool which gives businesses the insights they need to save costs, scale up, and stay competitive.  

Lastly, our duty of care solution, myTC Locate, offers non-invasive traveller tracking to help mitigate risks and give businesses the tools they need to make informed decisions. It’s designed to help business travellers feel safe and supported no matter where they are in the world.  

We added to our trophy cabinet 

Back in April, we were named the Top Business Travel Agency at the TTG Top 50 Travel Agencies of 2024 Awards, while in June, we climbed to 12th place in BTN Europe’s list of Leading UK TMCs. Both of these achievements cement our commitment to redefining care in corporate travel. 

We connected with new clients at the Business Travel Show Europe  

We had a great few days connecting with new clients at the Business Travel Show Europe, where we unveiled our Business Travel Barometer – an interactive quiz that allows businesses to see how their current travel programme stacks up against the pillars of cost-led, customer-led, and care-led solutions. We became a billion-pound business  

September saw us hit an incredible milestone – becoming a £1bn business. This is a testament to the levels of care that our independent business owners show to their corporate clients, with our success being built on trusted relationships and unmatched service. As a company, we’re big enough to deliver all your business travel needs, without compromising on the personal touch.  

We welcomed the best talent in business travel to our community  

Not only did we grow our community of independent business owners in 2024, but we also strengthened our team by welcoming some highly experienced new hires to our Support Hub in Manchester. These included Wayne Durkin, our Head of Business Development, Athenee Graham, Louise Jones, our Senior Business Development Managers, and Ricky Gudgeon, who most recently joined the business development team. We celebrated success 

Of course, it wouldn’t be a year of incredible achievements without opportunities to celebrate success and bring our community together. Our Business Travel Conference back in June saw our corporate Travel Counsellors get together in London. 

Meanwhile, our flagship 30th anniversary Annual Conference in Manchester at the end of November was the ultimate highlight, with 2,100 Travel Counsellors, Support Hub colleagues, and supplier partners coming together to look back on an incredible year, as well as looking forwards to 2025 and beyond.
