With reports that many employees are unable to work, this is one of those unfortunate situations that highlights the importance of having a robust crisis comms plan in place. It also underscores the necessity of factoring mobile into your comms strategy so you can reach employees who may be unable to access their work computers.
On a lighter note, Wednesday was World Emoji Day. According to a Talker Research study, 69% of employees feel more connected to their co-workers when they use emojis. Another study found that 41% of Americans consider a message without an emoji to be "incomplete".
