Overcoming food guilt

Overcoming food guilt

99% of the clients I work with come to me experiencing food guilt on a daily basis.

This is usually because they are not understanding their current eating patterns so have no idea what their triggers are.

They don’t know what they need to do in order to overcome that gnawing feeling in the pit of the stomach when they feel that they have screwed up yet again!

This was the case for my client Catherine.

But in the space of just 2 weeks, her weekly check-in reveals that she has already started to feel less guilt, more happiness and more motivation.

A big part of this is down to the fact that she is no longer restricting her intake and is focussing on foods that keep her satisfied.

She is challenging the dieting mindset that tells her she must eat very little.

She is starting to realise that such rules were serving no purpose.

In fact, they were leaving her feeling so deprived and hungry at the end of the day that she would slip into the same old cycle of overeating followed by shame.

But this is slowly changing thanks to the steps we are working through.

These are the same steps that my group programme, starting in just a few weeks, build upon.

This will also include the weekly check-ins that are helping keep Catherine motivated and on track.

They make sure that she gets the regular feedback required to avoid plateaus and review progress.

All of this will help her transition from feeling guilty about raiding the biscuit tin and wondering why the weight won’t budge to being confident and in control as she enjoys biscuits AND loses lbs.

If you would like to make that transition too, click the link in the comments for more information on my upcoming group programme.
