Painting Northside Pink

Painting Northside Pink

I don’t know how it’s possible, but we’re already nearing the end of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. At Northside Hospital, we don’t let this month pass by quietly. With our state-of-the-art Women’s Center at the Atlanta campus , as well as being one of the nation’s top five breast cancer programs, we view ourselves as lifelong partners in health for women, which makes this month especially important to us.

We’ve supported and raised funds through a number of events this month, with one still on the horizon. Tennis Against Breast Cancer, which last year helped provide more than 2,000 screening mammograms for women in our community through money raised from the event, has been a big success again this year. We have our last of three dates this Friday, October 25th. And you can still join us!

We also had our annual Pink Pumpkin Party on October 18th. It’s such a fun way for our Northside departments and units to get involved in breast cancer awareness and spend time together as a larger team. Teams of up to 35 staff members had the chance to design a pumpkin together and then enter it into competition. We showed off our unit spirit and helped raise more funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

It’s so special to be a part of a team that cares for people the way the Northside Hospital team does. Funds raised this month will help support breast cancer programs including diagnosis and research. We’re proud to stand alongside everyone in the fight during this important month. Thanks to everyone who participated so far this October and helped raise funds on our journey to end breast cancer.
