Be Kind - Grow Wild! - The Be Kind Grow Wild activity will show you how easy it is to make your own wildflower cards from recycled paper. With these cards you can share your kindness by giving a wildflower card to your neighbours, friends or family members. Each participant will get a hand illustrated card to write kind words on and share them with others. Moreover, by growing wildflowers you can contribute to the wildlife in the city as wildflowers provide great habitats that support a rich variety of insect life that is important for a healthy ecosystem. Be part of the movement and #bekindgrowwild !
Nothing is Waste - Challenging the idea that litter and scraps are ugly, the team will race to produce greeting cards for one lucky audience member against the clock, using only offcuts, waste and a little creativity.
During session 3, 2:30-4pm, the following filming will take place:
Edible Neighbourhood - During the Edible Neighbourhood activity, you will learn where and how to forage in and around Bristol. It is a great opportunity to explore Bristol neighbourhoods and have a mindful and joyful experience on your walks. We will share ideas and seasonal recipes to give you an inspiration of edible plants in your local woods and foresty parks. We will also prepare locally foraged wild garlic pesto as a perfect example of Spring Green treasure in a jar. If you are a foodie or want to become one, you cannot miss this activity!
Pimp My Plant Pot - The team will give you some scalable ideas about how anyone can contribute to biodiversity, no matter how big your space. There will be a build-your-own planter demonstration, whilst also showing how bits from your recycling can be used instead, and which food offcuts can be cultivated at home.
