On pausing. And unpausing.
So here we are, at the end of the school holidays.
I am now mum to a newly minted 16 year old (birthday was yesterday!) who has 10 GCSEs to his name, and who will be joining our local grammar school to do A-Levels.
I don't think I will ever forget the emotion of results day, and just how rightly proud he was of himself.
Year 11 was tough, he committed himself and earned the reward he sought.
This year has been momentous for us both - many moments that have considerable bearing on the future.
For him - his education; for me - the shifting role of mum.
This year, unlike the years before, there have been many moments without him - golf competitions, camping with friends and time with his lovely new girlfriend.

All signs of the future to come.
As we move into the new academic year I am met with a deep sense of having to find new parts of me, coupled with a keen awareness that this is simply the start of this era and in 24 months the world will shift again.
So what does this mean?
Well - back to business.
So there we are, new year, new momentum and some new offers.
