Pediatric Infectious Disease
The Department of Pediatrics of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks Infectious Disease candidates for a position as Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, depending upon experience.
The candidate must hold an MD/DO degree or equivalent, be BC/BE in Pediatrics along with BC/BE in Pediatric Infectious Diseases and will hold or are eligible for an Illinois physician license. This is a faculty position, as such requires providing clinical care, teaching medical students and residents, research and scholarly activities. Key Responsibilities/Duties: Provide clinical services (inpatient mainly and outpatient). Participate in teaching medical students, residents and other health professionals. Conduct clinical and/or basic research in the field of Pediatric Infectious Disease. Participate in infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship committees. Provide phone consultations for other hospitals and Pediatric offices in Illinois. Provide guidance for community outbreaks (measles and tuberculosis).
