“People, Culture & Talent” in Berlin - The Community & Meetups Insights 2023

While the global pandemic managed to bring some slow down when it comes to the meetups and events, the PC&T community in Berlin overall seems to be undergoing a certain renaissance since the beginning of this year. So, it's about the right time to shed some light and have a closer look on what´s going on :)  

Below I tried to map a few of the most active contributors who help currently to nurture the PC&T scene in Berlin.     

The Secret HR Society (SHRS) - Founded in 2015 and driven by Anna Ott , Hilary Klassen and Sebastian Dietrich , the SHRS is one of the oldest and most active HR societies in Berlin. Alongside with it´s 1600+ members-strong referral-only Slack community they nurture the people, culture and talent scene in Berlin by organising highly engaging meetups in various formats on a quarterly basis. This is your #1 destination if you are looking to be a part of Berlin´s international people, culture and talent community.       

HR Breakfast Club (HRBC) - Launched in 2019 by Pia Tepper and Martina Reiss ❤️🧠 , the HRBC has in the meantime become a true institution in Berlin when it comes to sharing knowledge and connecting within the German speaking HR community. The team organises monthly breakfasts which usually focus on a specific topic. A must-attend for all the HR early-birds of Berlin!  

HRFull - Launched only a few months ago by Daria Logvinskaia , the HRFull has already skyrocketed to an astonishing ca 150 members group on LinkedIn and conducted multiple community events focused on HR and TA topics. If you are a fan of both worlds - HR and TA - then this is the community to be a part of!

Talent Crunch Berlin (TC) - A rising star of Berlin TA meetups scene - run by Sergej Zimpel , Andreea Lungulescu and Matthias Schmeisser - the TACB is organising English speaking TA & recruitment focused meetups that bring the TA folks of Berlin together. A true “must attend” if you are looking to connect with like-minded people within the TA space in Berlin!  

GeekyPeople Meetups - A series of insightful meetups organised by GeekyPeople with the goal of bringing the TA and HR communities in Berlin closer together and nurturing the knowledge exchange and networking.  

HiPeople - is a Berlin based TA tech company that has been supporting the local TA community by (co-) organising, hosting and sponsoring various events that help to share the knowledge and expand the network. They love to experiment with various formats, so you might see them every now and then organising and sponsoring some cool TA focused breakfasts and dinners!     

Acelr8 (A8) - is a Recruitment-as-a-Service provider, that has been a strong supporter of the TA scene in Berlin by organizing a TA & recruitment focused panel discussions and nurturing the knowledge sharing across the community via their Slack channel for TA professionals.    

OfferZen - a job marketplace for developers that has recently accelerated it´s contribution to the TA community in Berlin and has been organizing and sponsoring various pretty cool TA focused events across the space.    

Localyze - a Hamburg based HR tech company that has recently started also to nurture the Berlin HR community by organizing some exciting events with the local crowd.
