Peripheral Interventions Curriculum kick-off for Young Physicians

On 13 and 14 October, the Terumo Interventional Systems team kicked off their Peripheral Interventions (PI) curriculum for Young Physicians at Health House vzw in Leuven (Belgium). Health House is a center of expertise on the future of health and care that informs, connects, and stimulates innovation in healthcare. The TIS Team welcomed 23 physicians from 14 different European countries.

“The objective of our PI curriculum is to take Interventional Radiologists & Vascular Surgeons with 1 or 2 years of experience on a 6-month educational trajectory with face-to-face meetings and online webinars to teach them all about Peripheral Interventions. "

"We chose to hold the kick off at Health House because their tour of “Hospital of the future” fits in nicely with Terumo’s theme of “Pioneering the future of healthcare together”. During this interactive tour, the physicians could experience different new digital technologies such as virtual reality glasses and an interactive anatomy table. During the tour, we also took the time to discuss how healthcare could evolve in the years to come.”

On the second day, the TIS team welcomed the Young Physicians at the Terumo EMEA HQ in Haasrode where the participants were taken on a tour of the manufacturing facilities. Afterwards, the group had the opportunity to try out different Terumo products on the benchtop models in the training room.
