Persona 5 - The Positive Review

Persona 5 - The Positive Review

The Positive Review is a LinkedIn exclusive series of articles focusing on emphasizing 5 positive, fun and engaging facts of modern and classic games.

These articles are based on my personal opinion and are not related whatsoever with my relationships with any employers/partners.

🎼 Fantastic music. Great music is one of the pillars of a memorable RPG experience and the Persona 5 soundtrack is absolutely marvellous. It starts with the genre itself, a mix a jazz and pop, with a Japanese approach that makes it even more special. The soundtrack is radically different from traditional RPGs that focus on medieval/classical music. The selection of the music genre also matches the visual aesthetic perfectly, providing a memorable holistic experience for players. On top of matching the game itself, you can easily enjoy the soundtrack outside of the game. It's almost 4 hours of musical delight and it's totally worth your time.

🤔Unusual and relevant themes for a game. Persona 5 focuses on very serious subjects such as harassment, corruption and violence. Everything is approached from the perspective of students from a fictional school in Japan. This definitely helps with the uniqueness of this game and the most surprising aspect is that every theme is very well tied to gameplay, scenario and enemies. If you are planning on playing this game with a child, make sure you're ready to explain what is going on.

🏋🏻 Satanael is a fantastic persona. It is extremely hard to get this persona, but once you get it, you will be practically invincible. This is specially useful if you are trying to collect all Trophies/Achievements in this game, since you need to finish it multiple times. Battles will be very easy if you configure Satanael correctly and you can focus on the story and strengthening your relationship with confidants.

Satanael is probably the best persona in the game and will make you almost invinicible in Persona 5.

🕰️ Many hours of gameplay. If you like long games, you definitely need to play Persona 5. It should take you around 170 hours to finish everything and collect all Trophies/Achievements. Also, in my experience, I needed to finish the game three times to complete everything.

🤩 Amazing art style. Character design, animations, screen transitions and scenarios are superbly done and unique, matching the theme of this game. I was amazed to realize that even after playing the game for almost 200 hours, I was never tired of watching the victory animation after each battle.

What about you? What's your favorite Persona?
