6G is bit far, it is expected to start rolling out in 2030. However, the need of it is making people to think about new use cases or giving a new dimension to existing use cases. In short making everything smarter and more intelligent in a way close to humans thinking. One of the sections of the technology that fascinates me is wearable technology and commoditized uses cases around it. Rather than a symbol of fashion I see these wearable devices or end devices as Business generator. We might see end of phone thing and huge demand of pervasive technologies taking place. Digital twin can be a one of the concepts that should drive pervasive technology.
I have been fascinated by the possibilities that a digital twin can offers in shaping our lives. In my opinion, for any technology to truly succeed, it must be embraced by the masses. Exciting advancements in technology are revolutionizing the way we live and interact with devices. The emergence of 6G digital twin technology is set to evolve human lives in a way that we've never seen before. Imagine a world where your devices seamlessly integrate with your daily routine, influencing our behaviors and enhancing our lifestyle. From wearable technology like smart watches, bracelets, and eyewear to personal assistants in the form of Implants, Neuro wearables, AI pins, Bracelet’s, chains, rings, Eyewear, Alexa boxes, and more, these pervasive devices are becoming increasingly integrated into our daily routines. They provide us with instant access to information, communication tools, and personalized assistance at our fingertips. we are stepping into a future where connectivity is seamless, information is instant, and possibilities are endless. I call it as DigiSPHERE….
Imagine a world where your smart watch not only tracks your fitness goals but also dwells in your health data in real-time and provide personalized recommendations for a healthier lifestyle. Or picture having a personal assistant in the form of an AI pin that helps you navigate your daily tasks seamlessly by anticipating your needs before you even realize them.
Imagine a scene - you're out for a morning jog, pushing yourself to the limit when suddenly your heart sends a clear message: "Slow down, buddy. Take a rest." Pausing in your tracks, you scan your surroundings for a place to catch your breath. While you were in your picturesque world, your wearable device was discreetly gathering real-time data on your body's statistics. In the background, this information is carefully analyzed, compared to standard parameters, and even simulated to depict your current health status. Then, like magic, a virtual image of your beating heart materializes before your eyes.
While this futuristic idea may sound like something straight out of a science fiction film, it is actually closer to becoming a reality than we all might think.
Developing such a system is a challenging task that requires a lot of work, robust programming, advanced modelling, AI/ML expertise, appropriate tools, and effective visualization capabilities. Moreover, it must be standardized for accuracy, monitored, controlled, and subjected to performance analytics. The text describes the fundamental building blocks of 6G DT, which include data collection and construction, modelling and simulating real-world scenarios, and interfacing through communication and/or application. At every layer or step there is a fusion of technologies and elements, hence naming these Digital Win Fusion layers: Data Fusion, Model Fusion & API Fusion. Building a 6G DT system is a multi-faceted endeavors that requires an intricate interplay of various technical aspects to be fusion to achieve its full potential.
