Pete Hegseth is a man who has made a name for himself in the conservative media as a man who is not afraid to speak his mind on several topics within politics and culture and serves as a vocal defender of the military. Currently a co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend, Hegseth makes thoughtful comments to a broad audience on some of the current concerns in the United States. Education: From Birth to War

A proud American and the son of a Vietnam veteran, Pete Hegseth was born June 6, 1980, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He completed his basic education at Princeton University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Politics in 2003 although his inclination to leadership and military was while at this university. Following college, Hegseth went to the U.S. Army National Guard being commissioned an officer in the infantry. He had his military experience in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo which provided him with a political perspective towards defence, patriotism and Americanism.

In return for his service, Hegseth was awarded two Bronze Stars, a Combat Infantryman Badge, and an Army Commendation Medal. His time in the military helped shape his career as an activist becoming a figurehead for military men and women as well as their families.

Considering the political transformation from the military to conservative advocacy Pete Hegseth further supports his veterans by becoming the executive director of Vets For Freedom, which is an organization that politically supports the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. He later on worked as the Chief Executive Officer for Concerned Veterans for America, which is an organization that advocates for free markets to be embraced in veteran affairs, especially in the United States. This gaining exposure through working with veteran groups and grayscale Conservative groups made him known in the political realm mainly for his blunt stance on foreign policy military expenditure and government.
