Pharmacy Strengthening Healthcare Systems

Pharmacy Strengthening Healthcare Systems

Welcome to the first issue of #ARAR_NOTES!

My name is Bayan A. Arar, I am a Healthcare and Life Sciences Consultant.

I help innovators tech-innovate care delivery and overcome industry challenges through strategic excellence.

Being a pharmacist allowed me to better understand the dimensions beyond shaping a well-nourished healthcare sector.

Pharmacy practice upskilled me to gain resilience, intelligence, and compassion through an outstanding journey of challenges and successes.

This makes me so excited to launch my newsletter as we are celebrating World Pharmacists Day #WPD2023!

Lately, I have been thinking about the reason behind choosing #Pharmacy — through its many sectors and areas of expertise — for being the vital healthcare profession to the SDG's vision!

In today’s issue, I’m going to share how pharmacists can strengthen the healthcare sector to overcome complexities.

Highlight the role of pharmacy in improving health in every corner of the world.

There are many improvements to #Health and #Wellness of which our profession can be proud.

Nevertheless, we all now face the task of restoring essential health services that have been disrupted by the #COVID_19 pandemic when more people have been unable to get health check-ups, vaccinations, and even urgent care.

Technological advancement has truly revolutionized the Healthcare system, covering future needs with brilliant solutions that would relieve pressure on and save time for other areas of the healthcare system achieving universal health coverage.

Beyond doubt, pharmacy is essential for access to health, a safe supply chain, and the responsible use of medicines.

However, decades of improvements in health outcomes are under threat of reversal if we don't act proactively.

Pharmacists are responsible for building and developing their capabilities to strengthen the whole Healthcare system in war & peace.

Pharmacy doesn't influence Healthcare systems only; it continues to prove who we are as healthcare professionals…

It teaches us Adaptability….

Adaptability is the skill of the future. Agree?

It's interesting to highlight that pharmacists can end up working anywhere.

Moving through multiple roles showed me that you never know where your career might take you - but once you are a pharmacist, you will always be a pharmacist!

Through such an exciting path, l learned about how to provide care and dispense compassion to patients. What does that mean?

Here is my interpretation:

💭 Be an open-minded, aware active listener.

✅ Adapt to new circumstances.

💪 Don't give up. Perseverance is key to success.

📈 Reflect, grow, & learn from your mistakes.

🧩 When you encounter challenges & obstacles, find alternative ways to achieve your goals.

🧠 Critical thinking, complex problem-solving, creativity, & lifelong learning are essential for success in a rapidly evolving world.

The next era of healthcare is poised to be not only revolutionary but also has the potential to be widely accessible. With the right strategies and choices, we can ensure that these health advancements are not just for the privileged few but are affordable and sustainable for all.

The journey ahead might be challenging, but the rewards could be immeasurable.

Are you ready for the next challenge?
