PhilHealth's New Benefit: A Health Shield for Solo Parents and Their Dependents

The 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 (𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝) has released 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐍𝐨. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒-𝟎𝟎𝟐𝟎 that announces that solo parents and their dependent children are now automatically covered in accordance with Republic Act No. 11861 or the "Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act". 


𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞?

To qualify for automatic coverage, solo parents must be registered with the Solo Parent Office or Solo Parent Division of their respective city or municipality. Their dependent children, who are under 22 years old, not working or married, and financially dependent on the solo parent, are also included in the coverage.


𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫?

Solo parents can be registered for the benefits in two ways:


Walk-In: Submit the PhiHealth Member Registration Form (PMRF) and a photocopy of the front and back of the Solo Parent Identification Card (SPIC) to the nearest PhilHealth office.

Automatic Enrollment: Those registered in the Central Database of DSWD are automatically included.

  • Inpatient and Outpatient Benefits
  • Z-Benefits
  • No Co-Payment/No Balance Billing
  • PhilHealth Konsultasyong Sulit Tama (Konsulta) or comprehensive outpatient benefits
