Safety First: How Automated Valve Manifolds Improve Safety and Reduce Risks in Liquid Processing

Automated liquid routing systems, like the HPS Automatrix, tackle challenges such as spills and leaks, cross-contamination, human fallibility, inefficiency, and health and safety risks by replacing manual processes with fully automated source and destination selection.

Piggable liquid routing systems provide even more efficiency in processing.

Find out how the HPS piggable automatic valve manifold system streamlines liquid routing, improving safety and operational reliability in both industrial and sanitary applications.

Pigging for Long Pipelines: What’s Involved?

Manufacturers of liquid and wet products use pipelines with a wide variety of different specifications, including different lengths and internal diameters. These specifications are primarily determined by the product(s) being manufactured and the facility layout.

Whilst HPS typically receives enquiries about pigging systems from companies with pipelines between 100 metres and 500 metres long, this doesn’t mean that longer (or shorter) pipelines can’t be pigged.

Read this article to find out about the difference between pigging for “standard” length pipelines and “longer” length pipelines.

Industry Focus: Breweries

In recent years, manufacturers of alcoholic drinks such as lager and stout, have faced shortages, leading to confusion and disappointment amongst British consumers. Following Brexit and COVID-19, major companies, such as Heineken and Diageo, owners of popular brands Birra Moretti and Guinness, respectively, have struggled to supply British pubs with enough stock.

Beer shortages are affecting British pubs in the run up to Christmas.

These shortages have largely occurred due to supply chain issues, such as a lack of qualified HGV drivers, but this month Diageo have revealed that Brits are facing a shortage of Guinness this Christmas due to increased demand.

No matter the reason that breweries are facing shortages, there is an answer.

Find out how breweries can avoid severe shortages by implementing HPS pigging technology into their operations.
