Porsche, BMW and Volkswagen: production was halted due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Several have stopped production and other manufacturers have stopped supplying Russia. This is what happened!

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has also created problems in the automotive world (as if the videos we see every day on the news and on social networks were not enough). Just in the hours we learned that Porsche and Volkswagen had to stop the production of some models due to what happened in recent days. The reasons are mainly different. In the case of Porsche, production in Leipzig was stopped due to wiring from Ukraine. He plant was forced to produce production from Wednesday afternoon until the end of the week, assuming it does not continue.

Porsche spokesperson confirmed the news via an email sent to the European automotive news portal: "The parked models are mainly Macan and Panamera. However, at the Zuffenhausen plant, where the 911 and Taycan are assembled, production has continued normally for at least this week. We will continue to analyze this situation in the coming days and weeks, so the possibility of having to shut down other assembly lines in Europe and even outside Europe cannot be ignored for now."

Porsche, Volkswagen and Nissan: problems with Russia

Porsche, as well as Volkswagen brands including Skoda, bought wings from the West. BMW also uses Ukrainian-made wiring. The supply was cut off by the Russian invasion. "The Volkswagen Group stands by the situation in Ukraine with great observing and consternation" Porsche said. The week-long conflict devastated the European automotive industry. In addition to the purchase, there are also problems with the delivery. Volkswagen stops production in Russia due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. BMW said it was suspending production at its factories in Germany and other European countries due to supply bottlenecks. Volkswagen has warned it may have to stop production at the Wolfsburg plant on March 14 as the supply chain crisis continues. Automakers, including Jaguar Land Rover and Aston Martin, have stopped shipping cars to Russia due to trade barriers caused by the sanctions. Ford has suspended business with Russia.

Volkswagen stops production in Russia

Volkswagen has stopped making cars in Russia. He also announced the immediate suspension of exports to countries that have invaded Ukraine. The latest comes just as the DIHK Institute for Economic Research announced that 250,000 full-time jobs in the Federal Republic of Germany from the full news from the news to Russia. All this, of course, will have a significant impact on the company's turnover, even the largest in the world. Russia accounts for a significant market share and, as already mentioned in the previous rows, many jobs completely from exporting various models to the Russian market. We hope that what has happened in the last week stops soon. The further we go, the greater the number of factories that are forced to close due to lack of supply.

At the moment there will be no shortage of models at dealerships, but the situation is rapidly evolving. If the conflict continues, there is no doubt that dealerships around the world will reduce their stock of new vehicles. Given the ongoing negotiations between the two countries, we hope that the waters will calm down, we just have to wait for the next few days.
