A Positive Ripple

A Positive Ripple

I recall a moment from a decade ago when I witnessed injustice firsthand. A young, enthusiastic team member was unfairly criticised by the senior most leader, for a mistake made by someone else. Driven by a sense of fairness and being a support to him, I spoke up, defending my team member and highlighting the true source of the error. It did not go well with the senior leader. [I will write someday about what happened next :P]

Years later, this individual reached out, expressing gratitude for my support. He shared how that incident had shaped his perspective on workplace dynamics, fostering a sense of resilience and self-worth. This unexpected acknowledgment was a "make me smile day moment" for me. I know it is difficult, but stand up, someone may be waiting for you to do that!

Recently someone I worked with years ago pinged me on WhatsApp saying "Thank you for making me carry a notepad around for meetings, I now realise the importance to noting things down". We may not realise it but what we do or don't do can impact someone, let us make sure that the impact is positive.

We often underestimate the impact of our simple actions.  Let us strive to be catalysts for positive change, inspiring others through our words and actions. By embracing kindness and understanding, we can build stronger relationships, foster a sense of community, and make a lasting difference in the world.

Small acts of kindness can weave intricate patterns of positive impact. A simple gesture, a word of encouragement, or a supportive action can resonate through time, leaving an enduring mark.

It's a reminder that our words and actions can leave lasting impressions, even if we don't see it right away. Thank you for sharing these stories, they encourage us to be kind, fair and make a positive impact in both personal and professional spaces.

Nostalgic are the theories and flamable are its implementations. It's amazing when the plan comes together with the same force and intent from the team. Good day to you Dr. B
