Post idea Monday #13: The transformational one
This week, let’s use the power of storytelling by sharing a transformation story. Who doesn’t love a good before/after?
👉 Highlight a pivotal change; your own, a client’s, or your business's.
This type of post connects with your audience on an emotional level, showing the tangible impact of your work.
Disclaimer: We’re not trying to behave like sweaty LinkedIn gurus by pulling transformational stories out of thin air. Focus on things that have actually happened. Things you’re genuinely proud of. No exaggeration. No over-the-top preachy heroics that make you sound like an absolute melt. We are serious people over here.
Here’s how to structure it:
1. Open with the "Before" picture. Be specific about timelines and situations.
Example: “In March 2024, a small business with zero social media presence and crickets in engagement approached me. They knew that if they didn’t do something, anything, their customer base would trickle away like sand through an hourglass.”
2. Introduce the turning point. Describe the process.
Example: “I rolled up my sleeves and gave their marketing a much-needed facelift. We ditched the tired stock photos and boring copy for something fresh, bold, and, most importantly, human.”
3. Reveal the "After" result. Show the benefits of the transformation.
Example: “8 months later, their follower count exploded, engagement went through the roof, and sales saw a 40% increase in new business.”
4. Reflect on the transformation.
Example: “If you think marketing is just about making noise, I invite you to try shouting into a hurricane and see how many customers you catch.”
