The Potential of a Single Post

The Potential of a Single Post

Never underestimate the power of a single piece of content. One well-crafted post can open doors, spark conversations, and create ripple effects far beyond what you might expect.

3 years ago I had an amazing opportunity to create alongside some creators I looked up to. I was shown the ropes of how to create and edit on the go, helping me see the value of being able to tell a story or give an update during an event in the shortest amount of time possible.

During that time I started making my own recap videos of the events I was attending. I was too shy to post the videos on my personal brand account so I posted it on my business account. Long story short the post was viewed many times but one viewer in particular really enjoyed what I put together and did their due diligence to get in contact with me. 2.5 years later we are still working together and many doors and opportunities have come from that ONE POST that I was scared to share.

Whether it’s a tweet, a blog post, or a video, each piece of content has the potential to resonate with your audience, attract new followers, or even change your business for the better.

Still on the fence about posting? Try this:

  1. Focus on Who You Want to Reach: Do you want to help someone, showcase a skill you have, or just share a cool experience? Once you have an idea of who you are talking to then you can work on what you share with them.
  2. Is this for You or Them: Humans are selfish...reflect on what you think you want to share and ask yourself is this what they need or are asking for or is this what I want to share? (Many times your audience is very clear on what they want from you)
  3. Keep it Simple: PLEASE do not over-commit! Yes, there are many recommendations and vanity metrics that you can consider when it comes to social media but right here right now if you can only commit to one post a week start there and increase your efforts over time.

Bottom line: Every post is an opportunity. Treat each one with care, and you’ll be surprised at how far it can take you.
