The Power of a BIPOC Community

The Power of a BIPOC Community

Last Thursday, my friend, marketing and messaging expert,  Tania Bhattacharyya , and I hosted a workshop on how to find your dream clients on LinkedIn. Can I just say the vibe was 🔥 and we got just the best feedback from the group.

"This was lovely, thank you for sharing your magic!"

"Thank you so much Carissa & Tania! This has been super AWESOME. Loving this dynamic duo!!"

"This has been a VIBE 🙂"

"Thank you so much - love both of your energy"

We talked about our six favorite lead generation practices to find your dream clients on LinkedIn:

  1. LinkedIn Events - the benefits of creating LinkedIn Audios, Livestreams, Private by registration events including the ability to send up to 1000 invitations to your first degree connections per week! No email list? No problem!
  2. Polls - the easiest way to identify and message folks who are interested in your programs and workshops.
  3. Comments - the importance of commenting on your posts and on other posts and building relationships with influencers and "frequent fliers."
  4. Lurkers - Looking for those who liked and viewed your profile.
  5. Search - mindblowing tricks to filter and target your ideal clients.
  6. Online to offline - preparing to meet people at in-person events such as conferences and meetups.

If you missed the workshop, no worries! You can still check out the replay here.

At the end of the workshop, I also announced that the waitlist for my signature group coaching program, LEAP TO LIBERATION, is now officially open! Yay! 🙌🏽

Generating leads is just one part of your marketing and sales strategy and often times when I hear folx struggling to sign more clients, the problem isn't just a sales conversion issue. It's more often a lack of knowing your niche and who your ideal client is and the inability to clearly communicate not just your offer and the price of your offer, but the actual problem you are solving for your clients.

If you're struggling to make more money in your business, need help amplifying your reach and your brand recognition on LinkedIn, or want support to launch your newest product, I invite you to check out LEAP TO LIBERATION.

Come learn the foundations of product development, marketing, and sales with a group of BIPOC coaches, consultants, and online service providers, so you can stop dreaming, wishing, and hoping that you'll make 6-figures, and actually do it.

Learn more about the program and get on the waitlist here.

The Only 3 Things You Need To Have A Successful Business

On last Tuesday's BUILT BY BIPOC Q&A Tuesday, I shared that there are only three things you need to have a successful business.

  1. A product people want
  2. Marketing and visibility for the product
  3. The ability to sell the product

Too often people get caught up tinkering and wasting time doing things that they think they need to do like posting daily on LinkedIn when they should really be working on daily income generating activities.

Here's the video where I dig into why your business is not growing and what you need to do so you can stop spinning, stalling, and staying small.

Upcoming Event - CONSCIOUSXCHANGE FAM JAM

I created CONSCIOUSXCHANGE with a vision of creating an ecosystem of equity and heart-centered BIPOC entrepreneurs to support one another in all things work, entrepreneurship, and life.

I've been hosting workshops for years, but hosting my latest event with Tania made me realize that it's sooooo much more fun hosting events with your friends. The conversations and the connections that I witnessed from the workshop I hosted with Tania were evidence to me that more spaces are needed for BIPOC entrepreneurs to be in community with each other. That's why I decided to host a community building event to keep the momentum going.

Come join me on August 31, @8pm EST/ 5pm PST for CONSCIOUSXCHANGE FAM JAM, an intentional networking and community building event for BIPOC entrepreneurs.

Register here to learn more and join.

Fair warning, people who attend my events know that I don't do networking like most folks. NO SPAMMY PITCHING is allowed here so if that's your intention, this space is probably NOT for you.

I believe deeper conversation leads to deeper connection so we'll kick off the event with interesting and provocative prompts to help you all get to know each other beyond the surface level with the intention of discovering shared values. When we get to know each other for who we are, not just what we do, that's where the business magic happens. So come for the conversation not just the transaction. If that sounds good to you, I'll see you there!

Well that's a wrap for this week! There's always a lot going on at CONSCIOUSXCHANGE and I'd love for you to come and say hi. To make sure you don't miss anything, join the CONSCIOUSXCHANGE email list here for more tips and to get notified of all events and programs.

And if you need to hear it, remember, it's not easy to be the first, only, and other BIPOC entrepreneur, building something that doesn't exist. Your business has the power to make an impact for you, your family, and your community. So cheers to you my dear pioneer! Let's go design our liberatory futures, together.

In solidarity,

Carissa
