The power of gratitude: join me in appreciating others this holiday season.

Over the past couple of years, we have taken time to focus on expressing gratitude during the holiday season. I have found it an ideal time of the year to reflect and share appreciation for those who are making a difference.

It’s a simple act — one that carries big benefits for not only those around us, but our own well-being and happiness. Taking time to express gratitude for others can:

  1. Reduce stress and anxiety: Focusing on things we are grateful for can help shift our perspective away from negative thoughts and worries.
  2. Improve relationships: Expressing gratitude to others can help to strengthen our connections and improve our relationships. It can also create a positive feedback loop where others are more likely to express gratitude to us in return.
  3. Spark resilience: Practicing gratitude can help us develop our ability to find meaning and positivity in the face of challenges.
  4. Improve well-being: Gratitude has been linked to increased levels of happiness and life satisfaction, as well as improved physical health.

With this in mind, I’m excited to kick off my annual gratitude campaign here on LinkedIn. This is the third year of this social campaign at Walmart , and over the next month, you’ll see gratitude posts celebrating some of the many leaders, associates, mentors, family members and teammates who have made a positive impact this year and/or during my career.

My hope is you’ll join me in this year’s campaign, and together, we can foster a culture of appreciation and gratitude. Please consider this a global opportunity to express gratitude. Take a moment to think about those who have done something meaningful this year. Whether it's a kind word, a helping hand or being a reliable teammate, share a few words to let them how much you appreciate them.

To help us keep track of this year’s gratitude movement, feel free to include this graphic in any posts you share, and use the hashtag #Gratitude2023. Let’s see how far gratitude can go.

Remember, incorporating gratitude into our daily lives can have a powerful impact. And what better time to focus on gratitude than as the year starts to come to a close. #GratitudeSeries #Gratitude2023

Thanks for your encouraging and positive message. This is such a good reminder of how good I truly have it.

Gratitude is all about reflecting on where you've started and the people who you helped and those who helped you on your journey.
