Situated in the heart of the country, Pehchaan The Street School hopes to change the current

scenario where accessibility to education remains limited. They have been working since 2015 in the

regions around Delhi-NCR to uplift underprivileged children by providing them with basic education

free of cost. Such children benefit from the street school approach. Giving knowledge through a

Here, at Pehchaan The Street School, the children are prompted to give themselves the freedom to

investigate and cherish parts of childhood. All these experiences may not be possible under normal

circumstances for these children. These typical circumstances include unstable financial conditions

and insufficient social support to achieve a basic human right like education. Such backgrounds

deprive children of the education and character-building qualities they require. They are further

pushed into earning a livelihood, snatching away their chance to pursue their dreams. Pehchaan The

Street School cares for and addresses these major drawbacks that children of Delhi slums face. It

offers classes in 11 centers across Delhi-NCR, which provide basic math, reading, art, music, and

vocational courses such as computer courses, etc. These subjects make sure the child is well-versed

Noted music composer and singer, Bismil visited Indraprastha Centre of Pehchaan The Street School.

The event was held at one of the centers and was filled with music and magic for the little ones.

Bismil was more than just an artist here at school; he was an epitome of happiness, inspiration, and

belongingness for the children at the center. He also came with eatables for the children.

When he sang songs, his melodious voice enchanted and captured the purity childhood encloses. He

also engaged with the children during the event, where he asked them questions about their dreams

and passions, whereas there were times it was the children who bombarded him with their curiosity

and love.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni who is the sister of Ranbir Kapoor recently also shared about Pehchaan The
