The Power of Two: Female Artists Join Together to Launch a Book and Showcase Dance

Lead by Example with a Dance

A new book is making its way to many homes and hearts this week. That book, called Lead By Example, is meant to be a comeback story for every reader. It’s an empowerment novel, an inspirational business book and a way to connect with the inside of the body to therefore focus on higher, more elevated human behavior and speaking skillsets.

The artistic element threaded throughout the 200 page book is spiritual intelligence, the next pioneering level up from emotional intelligence. Who you are in the world can be honed as you connect with your spirit and understand, or at least try to understand, your purpose in this world. By learning how to see through a lens based on possibility and purpose vs. problems, one can look through the eyes and the spirit to truly find purpose. It’ll arrive through massive amounts of silence, and with quiet, comes wisdom.

A creative way for readers to tap into their soul is the idea of spirit animals that has been interwoven through detailed hand-drawings in Lead By Example. A peacock, a horse, a turtle, a dragonfly, a lion, a spider even… they all make their appearance in the chapters to guide readers towards a path filled with positivity. Leadership is not easy, but it's worth it when you use the right tools like this book, and alike to dance freely.

Spirit animals and their emotionally heart warming images in the book will certainly help readers to master their calling; their true purpose and the book's author, Elizabeth Barry is awaiting everyone's response as they begin reading. She wants them to be inspired to slow down, alike to mother nature’s unhurried way.

As an effort to bring the spirit animals to life, Elizabeth sought after professional dancer, Kristen Mangione, owner and founder of LILA Dance Alchemy for the Soul. Her work is by far one of the best I’ve seen in the modern/contemporary dance niche and I was excited to see what she would do with my request to “become the peacock or become the horse.”

I anticipated with great excitement and was blown away at what she created based on my direction to dance into their character and meaning. In fact, I got goosebumps and cried when I saw the first two videos she sent me. - Elizabeth commented.

Launching a book to heal people with communication and personal and professional skillsets is an art. Writing is an art. Dance is an art. What if, the combination of the two could inspire thousands of people to invest in a copy of Lead By Example and invest in their self-development journey. What if several of Elizabeth's 7,000 connections saw Kristen’s dance and was inspired to bring it into their brand or their company? We’re all better off when we collaborate creatively to elevate one another, and to bring creation and innovation to audiences. To not do the same old thing all the time is REFRESHING. Be Different.

Elizabeth had intended to host a live performance with Kristen acting out the animals, alas due to current circumstances, they decided to create the online version as a short film series, so these videos can be shared and watched many times to remind people to slow down, dance, smile, breathe, let go, admire mother nature, read a new book and meet a new dancer.

To every entrepreneur out there, keep going and do it all so differently.

To every artist, create together.

To every potential reader, Elizabeth can’t wait to meet you.

And to everyone reading this who’s ready to watch the first compilation short film for Lead By Example, here you go.

Want to let Kristen Mangione create dance for your company, brand or retreat... get inspired here.
