The Power of Vulnerability
Next time someone criticizes or blames you, instead of defending your ego, do nothing. Let their remarks simply wash over you. Allow the false self-image your ego has created to remain diminished. Become aware of the uncomfortable feeling this is creating. You are now beginning the process of separating yourself from your ego. You have stopped feeding your ego.
The truth is you have not been diminished. You are becoming more conscious. By becoming vulnerable and separating yourself from your ego, you are discovering your invulnerability. You are beginning to realize that by becoming “less” you have actually become more. You are no longer feeding your ego with defenses and criticisms, but instead are allowing it to remain diminished.
This is allowing you to become more conscious and to replace the false image your ego has created of who you think you are with who you really are; an inspirational, emotionally intelligent leader.
