Prague Airport Turns Runway into Festive Christmas Tree
This holiday season, Prague's Václav Havel Airport embraced the Christmas spirit with a dazzling and creative display that showcased the airport’s unique functionality. With the participation of all operational divisions, the airport transformed Runway 12/30 into a giant Christmas tree using 32 vehicles from various departments, including airport security, terminal operation management, area maintenance, and the fire brigade.
The festive display featured twinkling lights arranged in the shape of a Christmas tree, creating a stunning visual captured by a drone. This video, crafted under the leadership of the airport’s marketing team, is the centrepiece of the airport’s seasonal campaign.
The Christmas campaign at Václav Havel Airport extends beyond the runway. Charity markets have been set up between the terminals, filling the air with holiday cheer. Passengers are treated to carolling performances and traditional gingerbread, spreading joy throughout the airport.
“Our video spot celebrates Christmas and is also a wish for all the best in 2025,” said Eva Krejcí, the airport’s director of communications and marketing. “The Christmas holidays and the end of the year are the perfect times to break free from the usual hustle and bustle, spend time with loved ones, and reflect on the past year.”
