Pronunciation training should be a benefit, not an obligation

Pronunciation training should be a benefit, not an obligation

A Spanish lawyer in London contacted me this week, telling me that her law firm had obliged her to take pronunciation lessons on a Saturday because her spoken English was not considered up to the mark for the job. On top of an already heavy workload, these lessons were a burden to the lawyer and she made little progress with her English.

We speak to express who we are, and we amplify our influence by embodying English in the same way that we embody our native language. This enables us to live up to our presence and potential. If we are forced into learning English as a form of subordination, we will not do justice to ourselves and our abilities.

We're excited to announce that our 3-day intensive workshop on English pronunciation for Spanish speakers is now open for enrolment. Enjoy the process of learning and embody your full potential as an English speaker.
