Prophetic or Preposterous?

Prophetic or Preposterous?

Everybody loves a good story, especially personal ones. Perhaps this one's might trigger a lot of questions, even toward the sanity of sharing it. A lifetime of trials and tribulations causes one to become a bit stalwart in their convictions and relative actions in life.

11/11/22 - at around 2:30 Central Time is my 47-year anniversary of coming alive. Some may call it truly being 'born again,' if you're prone to the Christian belief system. Absence of a belief system is better, that way you can test reality better. I consider myself no one special, I just took risks others aren't willing to take, like dying to know the truth, literally.

On Saturday, 11/8/75, returning for my second quarter in the Pre-Med program at B.S.U., and bereft of a sense of my own future, I knelt in prayer. "Father, I want to know what Truth is and I'm willing to die for it if necessary." The adage, 'be careful what you ask for' certainly applied in what happened.

Near-Death of a Different Sort - Dying to Know the Truth (https://amzn.to/3TCrNpe

The following Tuesday 11/11, in between classes and homework, I paused for an album-side meditation before returning to my studies. It was my ritual, of sorts. Laying across my Honors dorm room bed, I listened to one of my favorites - Journey's self-titled album. It's concept was the journey to Self, though I didn't pick up on it, yet.

In between the vocals and the jam on 'In the Morning Day,' I was asked by an indescribably empathically resonant voice I'd known since childhood from within, 'Are you willing to die for what you believe in?' It prompted a rite of passage few ever experience, let along can comprehend. Cosmic consciousness was my choice.

That day, my life changed forever and I got plugged in to what many would call a prophetic moment that is still unfolding today. Why me? Why not? I gave my life, literally, to know truth. What truth? My intention was to know the truth about my purpose and how our reality actually works. I got it in 2 minutes and 42 seconds, roughly. It's been unpacking since.

Long story short (full story @ zenbenefiel.com/the-call or in my book noted in the caption above), I AM here to help facilitate a new world order of peace and harmony among people and planet. Then, I had no idea how. I did learn there is no death of consciousness that each of us, with no exception, are cosmic consciousness condensed into form, unaware of it until we begin to question our nature and seek our perfected form, fit and function in the world.

Co.id the Accelerator, as Dr. Robert Gilman referred to it in one of my first apocalyptic chats for One World in a New World, gave us all the opportunity to peer inside, obsessed with self-hygiene and sequestered. It was a global event, the kind that precipitates massive change. Perhaps it is the opportunity for the 'great awakening' as a 'great weset' in our behavior.

The entire world was faced with simply being with self for a time, with no one to talk to except the mirror. What might that begin to facilitate? Perhaps a bit more self-awareness? What we truly care about and what we're willing to do in support? What is that for you?

I can only reflect on my own life as an experience system, regardless of the beliefs I may or may not have. As my name is often considered a path to 'what is,' it's the observable reality from a position self-awareness. Smith's memoirs and conversations with 'people for elsewhere' also reveal our experience of reality is based on our self-awareness.

So, leaping 47 years ahead and through many trials and tribulations, here we are. What's happened for me? I've learned how to discern and to follow flow. Where has that gotten me? Fame and fortune? Nope. Notoriety? Don't think so. Reputation? Perhaps. A question mark in most people's minds? Definitely.

Here's the insightful and perhaps prophetic answer; the flow of my activity to be acutely aware of the fulfillment of my 'mission', serendipitously offered me the opportunity to become Executive Director of a Global Peace Movement, with an outrageously simple and succinct message - Live and Let Live. It was a year and a half in the making when I had an apocalyptic chat with its founder, Marc Victor.

Marc, a Marine, just ran for the U.S. Senate in Arizona as a Libertarian with the sole purpose of introducing The Live and Let Live Movement and its principles. He got national and international coverage in doing so. In this day and age, isn't it time we all learning our to get along, work together better, and transform our world toward freedom and peace? Yes, it's an experiment as it has never been done. We don't have all the answers, yet collectively we just might.

All that being said, none of it is really about me, and as Marc says, 'It's all about the message and Movement.' It's about the personal opportunity we all have to grow to know ourselves and the world in a deeper relationship with life, love and happiness.

I invite you to join the Movement and ask yourself what you might do for the world now. It's not what you might do for your country anymore, we're a global village. Together we can make the changes necessary, perhaps even in our lifetimes.

Perhaps you might want to share this story, too. Prophetic or preposterous is and interesting choice. The phrase 'empathically resonant' might come into play here. It's OUR time to shine, imho, and truth, we know, is often stranger than fiction. Enjoy your day!

Would love your reflections, whatever they may be.
