Protests, projections, data and iconic pictures, the IMF/World Bank Annual Meetings in Washington are coming to an end. Here is where Africa stands

Here is our top story today: The 2022 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Washington DC are gradually coming to an end.

As usual, many articles can and will be written from many angles but below are our initial articles on where Africa stands and what policymakers on the continent should do, according to experts here.

Plus all the pictures of all the events, including an iconic picture the IMF posted on their website, showing me take a selfie with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.

As for me, people from around the world, including journalists as far away as Bangladesh and as near as Mexico, told me I represented Africa well. At each press briefing, either with the IMF chief or the World Bank President, I was called on to ask a question on behalf of Africa and I did. In the end, although there are still many things to write and many videos to publish, I believe we represented Africa well. And that is my take of the meetings.
