Purification of the Mind
We have a shower daily, to keep our physical body neat and clean. We go to a great extent to make this bath a squeaky-clean affair; fancy soaps, loofah, shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, the works!
But how often do we have a spiritual shower? Some of us have never had one!
Just as our physical body, the vehicle of our life requires daily cleansing, our mind, our etheric body requires regular cleansing from time to time.
Our etheric body is a subtle body that is deeply connected to the physical body. It is composed primarily of the chakras, the 3 major naadis and our aura. This subtle body is also connected to the emotional and mental subtle bodies, hence it is directly proportional in performance to how we think, or feel, i.e. our mind health. It means that the health of the chakras is dynamic in nature and depends on one’s lifestyle in general.
For a yogi meditating alone in the Himalayas, the state of his chakras may be presumably constant since stimulants are negligible in his situation. His chakras may also be very powerful as his lifestyle entails a single-point agenda- God realization through self-realization.
However, for those like us that are living in this world, interacting with several people in a day, with non-stop external stimulants, hectic work life and other responsibilities, chakras will perform in a way that we respond to the ever-stimulant dynamic environment.
Physical body manifesting diseases is a sure shot way of recognizing that our chakras aren’t working to their optimum. Whether a disease is physical, psychological, emotional, or if there are accidents, addictions, or any other disorders or ill-health, one needs to know that the etheric body hasn’t been healthy for over a period of time.
Diseases manifest in the physical body due to emotional, mental, psychological disturbances that have been left unattended over a period of time.
So what can we do?
In this blog I will discuss a few very effective tools towards etheric purification of self, that have stood the test of time and worked positively for people, including me.
1. Meditation
According to Master Choa Kok Sui, founder of Modern Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga, practicing the Meditation on Twin Hearts is like a spiritual shower.
Twin Hearts Meditation has several benefits. It activates one’s heart and crown chakras in a way that divine energy flows into the body freely. It cleanses negative emotions, illnesses and toxicity when practiced regularly. One may become more intuitive over regular practice. Twin Heart meditation also generates a lot of good karma.
Performing regular rituals and chanting mantras also have a deep impact on one's aura, and chakras that strengthen over a period of time.
You can practice Twin Hearts meditation with certified Pranic healers or at Pranic healing centers in your locality. Practice under expert guidance only.
2. Chakra cleansing and balancing
Through this mechanism we are able to remove impure thought forms, heavy emotions, dead energy from our chakras and our aura. This is done to avoid manifestation of diseases in the physical body at a later date. It is also done to stay etherically clean and purified.
After a certain age, medical doctors advise a physical check-up once a year, where the physical body is scanned and tested on health factors. However, we never pay heed to the mind, the actual place from where ease or dis-eases originate.
A periodical cleansing and balancing of chakras and aura is pertinent in our lives, so that prana can flow freely in our body. Cleansing our chakras and aura periodically enables us to remain etherically healthy.
Chakra scanning helps us determine the health of our chakras and gives us an idea of the current condition, deeper analysis and also what may be required to restore our health.
Aura cleansing or chakra balancing is not a one-time activity. It’s like dusting your home. When there’s dust you clean your home, or you clean proactively so that no dust accumulates. It’s something like that. An experienced Pranic Healer will be happy to guide you through the process.
3. Salt Bath
Salt has healing and purification properties. Everyday take a handful of salt and rub it over your body (or soak some salt in your tub). You may also add healing essential oils such as lavender or sage - it is optional. Salt helps release the negative chords that are attached to your aura.
4. Energetic Boundaries
It is pertinent to set energetic boundaries. Being mindful of how something or someone makes you feel is important. (and this is not a blaming exercise). To understand energetic boundaries, it is pertinent to be aware of our internal and external locus of control.

We must be able to say no to what drains our energy and depletes us. Balance in every sphere of life is important. If balance is missing, you are unconsciously manifesting a long-term health concern. Make a conscious decision to stay around people, places or situations that uplift you. If it's not immediately possible, start planning what you can shift.
The choice is always yours.
The benefits of practicing all of the above are far-reaching, and has a direct impact on our health, healing and happiness. You must try them out for yourself.
