QBCS0601 | New Quad Module Available

The QBCS0601 is a four channel Battery Cell Simulator designed to emulate battery cells for testing and validation in critical applications, like Battery Management Systems. Each channel operates as an independent dual-quadrant source/sink, providing precise control of voltage, current, and power, much like a real battery.

The main features of the module are the following:

- Realistic Simulation: the QBCS0601 supplies the required voltage, current, and power, functioning as a programmable electronic battery indistinguishable from a real one by device under test.

- Dual-Quadrant Operation: when simulating a battery under charge, each channel can sink up to 1000 mA, accomodating a wide range of testing scenarios.

- High Isolation: each channel is fully isolated from ground and from other channels, allowing for series connection to simulate batteries in a stacked architecture.

- Comprehensive Measurements: the QBCS0601 can alternately measure both sourced and sunk power, providing simultaneous voltage and current readings.

CAN SIC: Signal Improvement Capability | Flexmedia XM

CAN SIC enhances the robustness of Controller Area Network (CAN) communication, a critical component in modern vehicles for ensuring seamless and reliable data exchange among various electronic control units (ECUs). SIC is the abbreviation for Signal Improvement Capability.

A SIC transceiver allows building more complex network topologies at higher communication bit rates.

Key Features for SIC:

- SIC can be implemented in the transmitter to suppress the ringing when transmitting, or in the receiver to filter the ringing when receiving.

- SIC is added to CAN FD transceivers to enhance the maximum data rate achievable in complex star topologies by minimizing signal ringing.

Our CANPLIN1 Flexmedia XM module now implements all CAN “flavours”, from single wire CAN, CAN fault tolerant LS and HS to CAN FD/SIC in a single module! Find out more here
